A Sustainable Solution - Lifetime Recycling Village

• Lifetime Recycling Village Ltd was established to tackle the millions of tonnes of waste that are unnecessarily sent to landfill each year in Scotland
  
  
• With a holistic approach to recycling, recovery of materials, energy production and remanufacturing, the Lifetime Recycling Village will deliver a cleaner greener future for the West of Scotland
  
  
• Each year the Lifetime Recycling Village will take 1.5 million tonnes of mixed waste, separate and sort the recyclable material before realising the renewable energy potential in the remainder of this valuable resource
  
  
• As well as bringing £640 million in investment into the local area, the Lifetime Recycling Village will create over 700 jobs
  
  
• This landmark project will also open up new opportunities for product development from recyclates in West Central Scotland
  
  
• The Recycling Village would be the only facility of its type in Scotland that would completely eliminate the need for future landfill and maximise recycling, whilst creating enough renewable energy to power 100,000 homes
  
  
• It could even supply the equivalent of every Government building in the whole of Scotland with renewable energy
